Ebay purchase
first of all, this is my very first post, thanks upfront for and advise and your time. I am in the market for my first Rolex. For money reasons I am leaning towards a DateJust. I have been looking at Ebay quite a bit, but after reading on this formum it seems ebay is a pretty shady place to look. My question is, are there credible dealers on ebay, and if so, can you name a few. Also, if there are other places to look I am all ears. is there any models I need to stay away from. I am looking to wear it on a daily basis.
Thanks, |

...there ARE good dealers on the bay...
...however, WHY look there when there are SEVERAL good ones right here on TRF??
...if it is a budget issue, then when you find one that you are interested in, bring it up here in watchout and let us look at it and discuss it. ...generally, some of the older DJ's should be able to be purchased for between $1-2K. |

I don't care what anyone says I would never ever buy a Rolex on ebay. Sorry power-seller or whatever they call them I don't care ebay is full of over polished cases, aftermarket parts, incorrect bands, you name it...it's just not worth it IMO.
Save your pennies and buy here or from an AD...you'll be happy you did.

That's even better, where do I find the list of sponsors? I would much rather purchase it from someone affilated with this site. Thanks,

We have a number of reputable sellers who frequent the Sale Forum. You can check out their reputations on the "Who's Who" board.

Thanks everyone. I will visit the Sale Forum and become more familar with this site. I am a long time member of a Harley Davidson site that is similar to this one but they have sponsors. Thanks for everyone's time. I will look around the site.

Find a watch you like then search their name in the who'd who section once you've determine they have good reference you may contact a reference for more info or go ahead and contact the seller directly by phone. It's way better than ebay and once you wire the funds you should have your watch within two days.

you can find good sellers on ebay but there are very few reliable ones. Even the best will either polish the hell out of the watch or write eloquently to mask the real condition of the item in question.
