All Gold Day Datejust

Not so long ago I received the all clear from my old man to sell his all gold Day Datejust purchased early 80s. It had diamonds where the hours are and a bark strip in the middle of the bracelet. It has always been serviced regularly at RSC and is mint condition and the papers were kept. It went for $6,700.

Was this a fair price? I thought it was low but the few offers I had were in this region.

I would be grateful if someone could let me know if this was about right. A rough price range is good enough. It's gone now and nothing I can do so this is just out of curiosity.

Apologies if I happen to be posting this in the wrong section. Also sorry I don't have any photos of the watch.

Datejust or Day Date? Probably the latter. The rock-bottom price on an all-gold DD ("President") I've seen is $6,000.

So I'm wondering BarkMaster, do you have a bark-phone that rings every time there's a post with the word "bark" in it?

I was thinking the same thing too, he seems to be on every bark thread...

And yes, that's a very fair price! Older gold models sell for a lot less then the newer gold Rolexes.

No, but it flashes the Bark Signal. After all, it's a SMART phone.

No, no... I just like to feel the power of the bark side.
