TRF is an excellent resource for answers to esoteric questions. Go to an AD with one and you will likely get a blank stare in return, if that much.

I think people sometimes take things wayyyyyy too seriously... including themselves.

Like Steve-O said; don't sweat the small stuff. If everyone would apply that not only to TRF, but everything else.... the world will be a better place.

I'd add the following:

It's a privately owned forum; follow the rules
Ignore the grouchy responses from obviously unhappy people
Leave the polorizing topics for other forums
It's a watch; not a religion
Most importantly, be nice to the moderators (or pay them off! )

I enjoy you all: even the bark haters.

Heh! My view of TRF is a bunch of good guys how have a HUGE breadth and depth of knowledge in a very wide variety of issues.

Also, i challenge you guys and gals to go check out "other" watch forums. You'll see how different they can be and how much friendlier trf is than other places. To be honest, many members here in TRF are great and helpful but some members just post immature jokes and don't really contribute to a certain topic.

Very nice comment and appropriate use of 'jack wad.' No need to be apologetic (oh, yeah, insert the obligatory IMHO here). I think in any forum you're going to find people that are simply too wound up and need to pull the stick out a bit - not too far, mind you - just a bit.

And remember...don't ever buy any brat of a kid a Rolex when they're 12. That's just damn wrong.
