Different dials for the 16610LV and 116610C black?

I've got two Subs: 16610LV M serial and 116610 Ceramic Black, with random serial number. The Sub LV is displaying a bigger and bolder date and the serial number has seven digits. The Sub Ceramic Black has a smaller date displayed; it has eight digit random serial number. Also writing on the dial is very different on both watches. The LV is using a bigger font, which looks better to me. You guys are experts here, can you conform the differences as well?

I've noticed the date magnification is bigger on the LV as well.

The colour of lume is different also.

I love the new Sub ceramic, except the dial look and design on the old Sub LV looks better to me. When you compare these two watches side by side, it looks like the old Sub LV is more "Maxi" dial then the new Sub ceramic.

Differences, positives on the ceramic:
-Bracelet on the ceramic is all solid links
-Clasp is a stronger and better design on the ceramic
-besel is ceramic and better looking on the new sub
-movement has the "blue hair spring", which is a major upgrade. Magnetic, heat, shock proof.
-on the new Sub the date display is easy to see, the crystal is better
-next differece is not really on positive side: the new Sub hes a bigger case
-the new Sub is heavier then the old one
-the new Sub has a different lume, don't know which one is better
-the new Sub is $8K, the old one, the LV is $6.5K
As for the accuracy, every newer rolex can be regulated to +2 sec/day

I'm glad I could help. If you like the "maxi" dial, both watches are great. The LV is a party and young spirit watch, the black Sub C is the James Bond icon.

I switched the bezel on my 16610LV as soon as I got it because I really like it in black. I've never worn it in green, but occasionally think about it.

The placement of the "=" sign between the m and feet, differs between ceramic Subs, even between LN's but more often between LN and LV. Sometimes it's centered, often not, off to the left, ft side.

Clasp has spot welds on the ceramic sub. Don't get me wrong I have to love them both old and new as I own both but also have to say. I have never heard of an old sub breaking and falling off the owners wrist? Whereas I have with the ceramic many times on this fourm with pics to show the spot welds giving way and breaking in half. So becuase it is heavy bigger is it better? Not if the spot weld on the clasp is an Achilles' heel on the ceramic sub. I have exercised extreme caution when leaning over on a boat in fear of my watch getting preasure test

Could the perceived differences between the dials be a result of the case size i.e. wider lugs and bigger case on the Ceramic Subs make the dial look smaller and vice versa?

From that particular pic.....

The date font does look bigger on the old LV compared to the black Sub C.

However, the SUBMARINER etc writing font looks bigger on the Sub C compared to the old LV?
