Datejust 116234
I'm looking at purchasing the Rolex Datejust 116234 with the Black dial 36mm Steel and White Gold. What is a fair price to pay for it? Is there any reason I shouldn't buy it from Tourneau? Can you negotiate with Tourneau? Or is there a particular place I should buy it from? I want it new not used. I've looked it up on various sites and have gotten different retail prices. One site had it for $7450 the other $7550 so I'm assuming retail is $7500. Any info or advice you guys have I'd greatly appreciate. I'd obviously prefer to buy it from a storefront so I can raise hell if I have any issues.

I know you can buy a Rolex DJ with a factory diamond dial for $4700-$5500 in the for sale section right now... You can save so much more money buying from a seller here.... it's not even funny.
You can use the money you save and use it for future services plus more. |

Do a search on Tourneau here. That will answer many questions.
If you buy at a retail store, expect to pay top dollar. |

Do not buy from Tourneau! Repeat, do not buy from Tourneau! They will rip you off and give you bad customer service. I learned the hard way years ago. I'm sure they are some people that have had OK experieneces there, but there are also many people who have not. Good luck in your search.

AGREED... I would look for another AD or better yet check out the FS section right here on TRF, you will save $$$ and get the same watch... If you do not see what your looking for, PM one of the trusted sellers and they will be able to get it for you
Try JustRolexes/Bodybump/DavidSW... these are 3 I have dealt with and they are all AMAZING

If you are new to Rolex buy from an AD. It is the safest.
If you are okay buying used. Buy from someone here. You can save a lot of money. |

My plan is definitely to buy new. There is another AD that I can buy from besides Tourneau. How much under retail should I expect to be able to purchase the Datejust 116234 for?
What is a fair price to pay for a Datejust 116234? Retail is about $7500. I'd like to buy it new and from a store not from the Forums here since it's my first one. |

Hope you enjoy the "AD Experience." Why not offer him $5625 and go from there? Don't forget you will pay sales tax as well. Good luck! |
