What Do We Think of This President?

I love the sport watches have a couple subs among some others but am looking for "something else", crazy. Just trolling on ebay and came across this president, I am no expert on these references but looks a little different to me. Any thoughts would be appreciated..... By the way the no bracelet thing is ok with me on a gold watch.

I want to say that it is looks correct, but I'm not sure. I've seen the dial before but never on a WG day-date. Maybe someone else could tell you more.

very nice. technically a day-date head not president. the white gold has held up extremely well.

Interesting. I've never noticed a dial like that. I really like the numerals, and especially the red accented ones on the white dial. Nice!

It's different for sure.

Clean white dial with little bits of Red.

I think it probably goes best on a strap anyway.

Nice.

The word reference, "President", really pertains to the bracelet found with the DAY- DATE reference.

The watch itself is the model reference, "DAY - DATE" (as seen on its dial face) and was coined, "the President," when US President, Lyndon Johnson, wore it as his timepiece...

Now, there'sa DAY-DATE for sale on the sales corner right now, I think its a white gold one too, but it has an "Oyster bracelet", its not referred to as "the President" ...

Here it is...

just don't understand how someone can try to sell a used product for at least $6K and not even get the name right (day-date, not president).

Well, many on this forum don't get it right either.

thanks guys. I really know very little about day-dates and presidents. However I have been thinking about getting something more formal and this one really caught my eye. Not sure about the acrylic plus it seems expensive compared to every other of the same reference without a bracelet.

It's a bit expensive for the head only - should come with a solid gold bracelet for that price (aftermarket at least. The 1803 is also the older model and a little smaller in diameter. I would shop around and you will find better deals.
