Rolex Yacht-Master "Still have old clasp"?

I've been wondering why Rolex has not changed the clasp on the Yacht-master. The Yacht-master was once the most prestigious sport models giving it a solid center link bracelet but for some reason never upgraded the clasp. Rolex took things a step further and has upgraded the Daytona clasp twice now..... Any thoughts?

I think the clasp upgrade is coming. Rolex has to do things slowly to "hype" up people for basel every year! That's just my opinion.

A 16622 with a new clasp would be a dream watch for me.

we all can tell time on our cellphones, I had a YG Yachtmaster, I sold it because the clasp was pitiful for a watch costing just shy of 30,000$

Could not have said it better myself... Sure the clasp functions and works properly but for all the price increases including on this watch I think it is just craziness that it has not been ungraded

Thanx Adam I was starting to think I was the only one who felt this way... Its such a great watch, I don't understand why it has such a sub par clasp...

I would buy a TT YM with white dial and onyx markers if it had the updated bracelet.

How much would it cost for just the new clasp from GMT/Subc? I wonder how much Rolex will charge for a YM with no other changes except the new clasp compared to getting a new clasp by yourself and updating the current YM which some members here have done. Although I foresee buying a new clasp is not an easy thing to do.
