Since when are they restricting accounts? Maybe all new accts need approval now. There where a huge number of deadbeat/bot/spam accts signing up.

To be honest I think dr oldschool might be mistaken.....
It took me a long while to register at TZ-UK simply because I was trying to do so of an evening. I was eventually told by an existing member there that you need to do it while the forum-owner is online (usually during the [UK] day-time apparently) so that he can activate your account. Well that's what worked for me anyway.
