FS: Rolex Submariner 16800 circa 1985
This is a very nice example of the all stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner Ref. 16800.
The serial number, 9136xxx, dates the watch's manufacture to approximately 1985. Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner 1000 ft=300m Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified The watch features the original, lightly patinated dial and excellent hands; the 93150 Oyster bracelet with flip-lock closure is in condition commensurate with the watch's age. The watch has just under-gone a full and complete service by Adam Parrish, the lead watchmaker for Palmer's Jewellers, the RolexAD in KoKoMo, Indiana, USA. In addition to full disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, lubrication and adjustment, a fresh crystal and bezel insert were fitted, at a total cost in excess of $600. The 27-jewel Rolex Calibre 3035 automatic movement is keeping super time; in excellent over-all condition, it's hard to believe this watch is more than 25 years old. As an FYI, the Submariner Reference 16800 is commonly referred to as a transitional Submariner because it was the first Rolex sport model to have a sapphire crystal along with a high-beat movement. This one is ready to add to your collection. $3699 plus actual carriage. Preferred forms of payment include a personal cheque, cashier's cheque, wire transfer, or money order.
