Great taste in rental vehicles, Dino.
Loved the orange Lamborghini the best I thought there were age restrictions with high-end/supercar rental? |

And a soon 40 year old one. And my 2 year old beater, a super truck.

Not a supercar but it's a pretty fast Carrera S with ceramic brakes. I should really get a new picture.

I don't have a "supercar" exactly but I do have a Corvette with 660+ RWHP (around 800-825 engine HP.) I was just going to leave it supercharged but with the release of the C7 being further away I think I'm going to get a TT setup and go for 1000 HP. I have a widebody kit in the garage that will be going on soon so it will have a look similar to a Z06. If I floor it at 65-70 the rear end breaks loose so hopefully with the added rubber I won't have that issue anymore. Right now I have a Paxton SC, completely forged bottom end, LG Super Pro 1 7/8" headers, Corsa Xtreme exhaust, running Meth, and countless other little odds and ends. The sad thing is I could probably have a new Z06 for what I have in the car, motor, suspension, and drivetrain but its totally worth it when you hit the gas. Here are is a pic of the car and the engine. My fiance has a 09 SL550 but I wouldn't consider that a supercar either.
Hopefully one day I can make it look this good. |

I didn't know you could rent a supercar.
I might like to do that for my birthday. Any idea on what it would cost to take a Lamborghini or Ferrari out for a few hours? I'd probably scare myself to death driving a car that fast. |

You sure can. If you really want to rent one go to Vegas. There are lots everywhere renting them and cheaper than anywere else too. Bad thing is a lot of the cars have been beat on pretty bad. Look on youtube about some of the rentals. People throw nitrous on them and take them to the track. They beat the crap out of them.

My good neighbour from across the street bought a Mercedes AMG SLS in July if memory serves. He had been hounding me since then to take his car out for a spin but the timing was never convenient since he would always offer whenever I'd been toiling in the yard for hours at a time. Well he offered again this past Saturday and I just couldn't refuse him this time. Again I had been working in the yard so I told him to give me 10 minutes to shower and change.
All cleaned up I cross over to let him know I'm good to go. He passed me the keys and told me to get going... couldn't believe he didn't want to climb in the passenger seat. Anyway, that car has soooooo much torque that I mistakenly lit up the rear tires for a split second at 60km/h without anything more than a slight push of the pedal! I had switched the transmission to "manual" mode to experience just what $200K buys you! Downshifting was as seamless as a perfect heel-toe, matching the revs to the gearing perfectly and almost instantaneously. Steering response was extremely tight, almost as good as a formula car. When I returned from the quick drive he asked if I took it on the highway however I didn't have the time to do so. I'm hoping that he'll extend his generosity once more so that I can. In the meantime I'm beginning the rebuild of my race car so hopefully I'll be able to return the favour by strapping him into the passenger seat for a hot lap at Mosport. I love my neighbour.... in a manly way of course |
