buying my first rolex
I've narrowed it down to the new explorer II 42, a tt gmtcII, or a old tt daytona from the 90's with a gold champagne dial.
I was offered a tt daytona exactly like this but in a really used condition for $6100. Is this a fair price? ps. I stole this image off this site. |

I think so,
I've thought about buying a TT daytona since they are so inexpensive |

How bad is it?
I imagine you will have to get it serviced. What kind of condition is the bezel in?

It's pretty bad. The numbers on the bezel are fading and the watch is scratched up. Would a service fix these problems? Is it worth buying?

pictures would help.. TT bracelets are expensive to replace. i think the bezels too. and a service may be costly. hollow end links aren't really cool either to me. how about the crystal?

If it's that rough the service could go into the thousands but it would be a practically new watch. I would get a GMTII C

im not getting the daytona anymore. It would cost too much to restore. so my choices are now a hulk, a tt gmt or explorer 42.. I'm going to a friends grey market dealer and seeing what i can get. I'm ready to pull the trigger. I might not be able to wait for the exp42 lol.
