SD awesomeness ... ?

i'm so thrilled that my SD is looking crisp and proper and keeping great time day after day. seriously it has gained just one second in the last month... thats pretty good. i cant help being amazed at this watch.

but since it came back from Ben Bridge to have the dial cleaned of some dandruff (?) i dont know what to think about the orgiinal movement. is it keeping great time because someone screwed me and swapped out a quartz movement? the dance of the second hand is unchanged, and there are no other telling signs.

i've had fakes with ETA or Valjoux movements that kept reliable time, but lost or gained more seconds. should i be worried or am i overreacting?

I couldn't tell you but I do know my SD is +3 secs a day.

You probably just lucked out. I wouldn't be too worried if I were you.

Adrian, don't be worried!

Your SD was probably just adjusted while it was serviced, quite normal.

And besides that: Your SD loses 1 sec a month, you say??

That is actually MORE precise than a quarz Seiko I have!

You're blessed, man! Be happy!

I guess I don't understand one thing: why would you service your watch at Ben Bridge if you thought there was even the slightest, teeniest, most remote chance that someone there would screw you and swap out your original movement and substitute a quartz one?

because it came in orig condition w some crap on the dial. sent it to have crap removed.

actually i lied. in all honestly its more like gained 1 sec in 2 weeks because i did adjust the time to be 10 sec faster than the online GMT clock around 2 weeks ago.

Ben Bridge are a high class and very reputable Jeweler. I think you are just amazingly lucky to get such accuracy (or they have an amazing watchmaker).
