Thoughts on PAM 177 and PAM 183?

Have pretty much narrowed it down to these two. I have never owned a hand wind watch so would love some feedback on that. I really like that fact you can see the whole movement with the display back. I think they are both really nice looking watches. I would be looking at wearing this watch most days so hope it stands up to a few knocks

Any Idea how these two models hold the value? I was looking at the PAM 312 I just think it might end up being slightly too big.

Also pictures of either of these two watches would be extremely welcome.

I have owned both and I liked them both very much, although these days I seem to prefer brushed SS or a ti case. The 183 is a great Rad, but changing straps is a little challenging compared to the Luminor. For that reason plus the fact that titanium cases are sweet, I prefer the Luminor, I enjoy changing straps.

The 312 has the new quick strap changing system which is a pure joy. It makes strap changing so easy, and you won't scratch up the case around the screws like on the 177 or the 183.

Manual wind watches are fantastic, I love them and wish my 351 was a manual wind. I love knowing my power reserve is full and winding the watch every couple of days just adds to the enjoyment of wearing it.

Both the 177 and the 183 will hold it's value. Panerai watches hold their value and appreciate better than Rolex IMHO.

I enjoy manual winds. I have both the 56 hour PR in the zero and the 8 day in the 233.

FWIW - the 177 and 183 should both have about 56 hours of power reserve - which is more than the average from other brands by about 8 hours. That comes in handy.

I like them both, still have the 183. The only knock on PAMS Ti finish is that it gets shiny quickly. For some reason they just seem to show those marks more and are much harder to brush out. I disagree on the quick change system, cant stand it.

183 vs 177

simple, go put each of them on, i bet you will decide in a moment.
they both will fit very different, there is no substitute for a wrist test run, especially in the world of panerai case varieties.

ps i was looking at 183 and went with the 210..... didn't feel like contemplating / explaining what "black seal" was to others or myself
