Hi All

Trust everyone is having a great weekend.

I was admiring my new Sub C and was looking at the detail put into the rehaut engraving and i noticed the following, and would be grateful if some of you could confirm if this is universal:

1. On the 1-5 marker side, the "X" is on the markers

2. On the 7-11 marker side, the "R" is on the markers

3. The serial number at 6 o clock starts at 3rd chapter ring index from 5 o'clock and ends at the 3rd chapter ring index before 7 o'clock

4. Each letter on the rehaut also matches exactly with each chapter ring index marker with balance spaces used the the etched crown and serial numbers.

I am very impressed with such beautiful symmetry and attention to detail.

If there are other interesting facts or nuances I have missed, please do let me know.

Indeed! Parallax is very tricky on the rehaut though ... drives me mad

Yup...

Unless you happen to have a watch with a misaligned rehaut. Then of course, you are off in all respects. Ouch!

My rehaut is misaligned on 14060m. the crown is off to the right a touch of the 12. I didnt notice it straight away as i was so wrapped up in buying the watch. I tried to get it realigned but Rolex said they Wouldn't do it under warranty as they would have to pull the whole watch apart. A bit annoyed at that but I can live with it. ill get it done at 1st service in about 5 - 10 years.

Mines like that too but it doesnt really bother me. And it seems like its a very common 'problem' judging from threads Ive seen here.

All that detail on the dial but they can't put the crown on straight!

Mine is also a tiny bit off centre to the right,
however I went to my AD last weekend to compare and I saw 2x GmtIIc 1x Milgauss GV 1x DJ 116234 and also 1x Sub Nd which were all within 0.5-1mm shifted to the right... Seems this is very very common (which put my mind at ease)
