Scammer Working off of TZ - Robert Nedeau - Ottawa/Toronto Area

Mapleleafwatch advertised on TZ a sale of a Rolex Seadweller on 9/15/11. References checked out. $4,200 funded via wire transfer on 9/19/11. No proof of shipment nor watch showed up; nor correspondence.

Robert M. Nedeau is name used by confidence man (name on bank account through CIBC Toronto Beneficiary Bank Presidents Choice Financial). References provided were: Adam Baum, Elton Zhang, and Dr. Eric Goldstein; provided in case you see those names as references.

Police report filed locally, Toronto Police Fraud Division contacted. Toronto attorney I contacted pointed out that phone number provided for Robert M. Nedeau is a Ottawa, Ontario land line.

There have been other reports of similar modus operandi (I’m getting this second hand by comparing notes with someone else that was scammed). Names were different, but one of references were the same person. Russian accent working out of Ontario.
