Polywatch?
I haven't been able to find polywatch. My AD acted like he had never heard of it and doesn't carry anything for acrylic crystals. Where can you buy it?

Try ottofrei.com. For a watchhead you'll find their site a fascinating place.

Ok, don't laugh but....
My father is a reitred dentist and has tons of differnet toothpaste samples. What is toothpaste other than a very mild abbrasive? I has a Tudor Date-Day with a really distorted cyclops. Being the OCD WIS that I am I could not wait for mail-order Polywatch so I tried some different toothpaste brands and this Crest worked like magic! Its got little abrasive bits in it that polish the crystal very well. It might take a bit more time than Polywatch but I'd rather use something milder than stronger. Also your watch will smell minty fresh and be free of cavities and tartar for 6 months.
I aslo use a Dremel (a real Dremel, not a fake Dremel with no variable speeds) and some white Jewelrs rouge/buffing compund and this is the best way I have found to make a scrathced plastic crystal look like brand new. |
