Does 339 is still worth list price?
Hi, due to so many nice models came (or coming) out, and the "case" issue with 339, do you think this piece is still worth the list price - $15800? Thank you for your opinions.

Depends
I suppose depending on your intent.. If you love the watch then the price is irrelevant.. Any watch north of 10k can be construed overpriced.. (I own a Pam 312,rolexes) if it makes you happy then I believe it's worth whatever you pay( applies to all luxury goods) however if you are concerned about resale or flipping it in the near future, well with the particular model339, I believe there will be a demand for it, regardless of the case issue...( I am partial to SS pam's ) from a collector's point of view, it is still a sought out model..
Therefore, it just depends on what the watch is for... |

My money is on that this piece will skyrocket in price due to the "issue."

Look like you are right
Look like you are right - couple month ago, a friend of mine tried to sell his, listed from $21000 dropped all the way to $17500 and sold. Just did a quick search - now only couple pieces listed on P.com and WN, all above $20k.

It's the only 8 Giorni + Marina Militaire dial ever. Should always hold its value.

get it...
Here is my story and I could not be happier. At list it is a fantastic piece, irregardless of future value. Perfect blend of past and future of Panerai.

A lot of price volatility around this one lately. Maybe it's the case "defect" or the abundance of choices lately. I'm not looking to get a 339, but I'd definitely look for prices closer to retail based upon where second hand prices have been lately.

I would pay a lot more than MSRP today if I could find one...its easier to get 382 now than 339.

At list price I would buy it. Otherwise I will put my money on other models.

Just because its listed at 20k does not mean people are buying them at that price.
