A Formal Introduction...

Well, I didn't think it would happen this soon, but it did. After purchasing a GMT Coke in March this year, I thought I'd be done purchasing a watches. But there was always room for a Panerai somewhere. I've always been a fan of the historic line, and not so much of the complications of their other models. There are also a lot of the SE's that I like, but are out of my budget. The 112 was the one.

So, when I learned last week that I got a promotion at work, I began my search and this is what I found...

Consider it a gift to myself. I'm very happy with it and even went ahead and ordered 2 straps from Micah even before it came.

I'm more than pleased with the 3 pieces I have. They're all keepers....for now.

Thanks a lot everyone. I ordered the straps last Thurs (or Friday). Current turnaround time is 3-4 weeks. I'm leaving for my first trip to Europe on the 11/10/11. Hoping to get them in before then. Still debating which one to bring on the trip (firstworldproblems). I'll be sure to get pics of the straps when I receive them.

Nice score. I'm becoming a bigger fan of the 112.
