Hell, at least they don't have to smuggle it in under the cover of darkness like so many of us watch nerds on these forums.
Couldn't agree more...

Yet, you managed to buy a very nice looking harley. I guess the saying is true: it's not how much you make, it's how much you spend....

People talk about the crown guards being off, the rehaut being off, etc. - nobody ever mentions the fact that the guy wearing it had on $10 shoes, $5 jeans and a $2 t-shirt. More of a dead give away IMO.

I have found that the people with money don't spend it, those with 'not that much' do

Unfortunately I'm in the latter group

Yes, I understand this. Most of my income is put away at a regular rate in long term, safe places. Buying a luxury watch versus growing my investment pool is a "complete absence of reason for me," which is why I've spent two full months posting about my indecision...

I did try on your gmtII-c last Friday---It's the nicest new Rolex in my opinion, though it's twice the price of an older GMTII... Everytime I try on the new GMTII-C I am in awe of the bracelet, the sparkle, the feel of the movement hands, the newer bezel...You are lucky and wise to own such an incredible looking watch.

In actuality, aka the real world, I've tried on the GMTII-C approx 5 times at different AD's. Last week was just another lunchtime research into my old vs new GMTII quest...
I forgot to mention, I like the feel of the turning bezel on that watch very much...

Been wearing a SS Sub for 30+years, along with my t shirts and jeans.

Dress up for me means cargo pants and a shirt with open collar,

My wedding suit no longer fits me,

Must admit I wear good shoes.

?

Thought about, then I realized that I would just be drawing attention to the fake world. Now that I have a Rolex, I don't pay attention to the clowns with the fakes....

Never judge a book by its cover..
If everyone Had to be in that upper tier...Rolex would have a hard time clearing their inventory...
People buy what they want.. often regardless of the cost.. Just b'cuz they Want it...!

I visit a premier dealer in shorts, sandals and a polo shirt on a regular basis.
Many well to do in Ca often dress very casually as to not draw attention. This however is not the behavior of the nouveau and the Hollywood mentality.
