Two Days Wait ...
Like a cat on a hot tin roof!
Then, the 287 Rad arrives. My first Radiomir. Always wanted a Radiomir, one that I could afford. So now I look through the strap sellers options, choosing a strap and bucke from a favoured maker who made a strap for my JLC Reverso. Picked out a buckle too. Guess I'd better buy some tubes for the new intended strap. What is it with Panerai that has a bloke excited and ordering a strap and buckle even before it arrives? I've never done this with any watch before, ever. Man, these things are like some sort of contagious disease. Not looking for a cure, simply a passifier! There's no logic. Richard |

Congrats in advance! Can't wait for the wrist shots. Looking for straps is the other fun part to this disease. Btw, no need for tubes since you'll be using them for the Rad.

Thanks fellas, didn't realise the Rad doesn't use tubes like the Luminors.
That's the most minor expense eliminated, that is good, isn't it? Ha, ha ha. |

Tubes are normally thrown in free of charge with the strap.

Fingers crossed for a delivery about 12 hours from now.
I really should be trying to sleep, counting 287s jumping over the fence ;-) |

Wouldn't you know it, the delivery is late today.
It would normally have arrived a few hours ago. The cat is still on the hot tin roof, trying to chill, as best I can. Relax, relax. |

The wait is over.
Ahhh, now, how to take a decent pic without reflection? Not to mention having to pay attention to the engle of the cyclops to catch the date, ugh:-) I took a couple, however they all look terrible. Give me a day or two please and I'll try to develop a new skill. Thanks for all the good wishes, it feels good and looks even better. [IMG][/IMG] |
