I'm not an expert in vintage watches so may I ask what made you know this one was fake? I can sometimes tell for more recent models but I'd love to know about this one!

This item sold on eBay is a mix of original and fake parts.
I don t want to be too specific because it would only help the dishonest people to improve.
The way it works is that one of the current bidders will ask for a buy it now price and the deal will be concluded outside of eBay.
This transaction will end before and outside eBay.
I feel sorry for the person who is going to be screwed.

More specifically, the case, the bezel, the crown and dial are fake.
I cannot tell for the hands.
The movement looks original.

Case back is fake.
Case is suspect at best.

This watch is a cheap fake.
I don't report anymore counterfeits to EBay, as they simply don't care.
At best, the transaction will be cancelled.
And the seller will continue on and on.
I have reported to their legal service 4 concrete cases of fake Rolexes sold by the same seller using the same approach: fake case, fake dial, ... But original movement. Ebay asked me to go and play in the traffic.
Be very careful, these crooks manage to fool famous auction houses!
My objective now is just to protect TRF members.

They do care Greg, most times they simply do not know and they rely on input from people like us.
