JLC Reverso Grande GMT vs Panerai PAM233
Hi gang,
I've had a lot of movement in my collection this year and here's another one I'm contemplating. Keep in mind I have the simpler versions of both these watches, a JLC Tribute to Reverso 1931 and a PAM312. Price point aside, it appears to be the same functional features. What do you think? My JLC Reverso Grande GMT: in-house JLC 8day manual wind, GMT, gator strap, back is 2nd time. His Panerai PAM233: in-house Panerai 8day manual wind, GMT, tunnel strap, display back. VS. Mike,
keep the JLC. I handled one last week (thanks to Orangejuicy - great guy!) and it was something else... Absolutely loved the case, the dials, the layout, the 8-day movement.

not sure i would consider the 312 as simply a "simpler" version of the 233 (i think that's more the 320 vs. 312), but that JLC is quite nice. i guess it would depend on your full collection to make that call.
that being said, i think i would keep the 233 over the 312.... |

tough one Mike, it really depends on what you want these pieces to do. the dot GMT is still not as useful as the JLC GMT face. And of course, the JLC has some horological value.
enviable position!

I love the Grande GMT 8 Day Reverso, but it didn't fit.
If I had the wrist for it, JLC all the way.

I would keep the JLC. I really like the JLC Reverso Grande GMT, it's a great looking watch.

I would keep the JLC since you already own a 312.

I would go with the PAM233, I love the domed glass. But that is just me.

JLC for me, but then, wait, I do have a similar one...
They wear large, lug to lug larger than most Panerai. Crown to crown the Grande is 29/30mm. |

Thanks to the WISdom of the group, I've decided to keep the JLC (for now) and pick up a K233.

I just haven't warmed up to the tank watches yet. Maybe my taste will become more refined and I'll like them down the road.
