Another earthquake here in Oklahoma
At approximately 8:48 PM my house was shaking and glass was rattling. This sort of thing is crazy for Oklahoma

Yes - we noticed, too. The USGS already has info about it - it's another 4.7, just like the one we had early Saturday morning. It didn't last as long as the 5.6 one.
So weird! The deep, rumbling noise is eerie.... |

I read that Oklahoma is over some ancient fault line.

There's the Meers fault in SW Oklahoma, that supposedly hasn't been active in 1300 years. It's still visible on the surface. This one is on the eastern part of the state and has been called a "newer" fault.
Local seismologists interviewed all seem mystified about this sudden increase in activity. I hope there will be more study and monitoring done to find out more about what's going on. |

Earthquakes in Oklahoma????? What next????
The song "California Earthquake" by John Hartford comes to mind...... "Mother nature's got gas, her diet's gone stale" "See her acid indigestion on the Richter scale" P.S. No "rapture"........but the Mayan calendar thing is only 13 months away.....12/12/12.....we'd all better party like it's 1999!
