Where can I get a Rolex Buckle for a strap
Hi All
Just wondered if anybody could help, I'm trying to locate a Rolex buckle / clasp for a leather strap, 18mm to be exact for my GMTIIc, the leather strap I'm using tapers from 20 - 18mm. Anybody have any ideas please? Thanks in advance |

Rolex straps taper to 16mm, and original buckles are difficult to come by. The clasps are also 16mm and you need the special Rolex short straps for them to fit to... they are not universal fit...

Try one of TRF's trusted sellers......I suggest "SteveMulholland" he specializes in vintage.
It's too bad Rolex doesn't offer watches w/ traditional tang & buckle straps any longer. I have my dad's datejust which came on a strap.....he had it on a custom YG band, had lost the gold Rolex buckle...I was lucky enough to get one from the old indie RSC, "Walter Gooden" in L.A. a while back....the RSC here in SF told me they're not easy to come by.

Many thanks for your replies, looks like it may be easier to change the strap ;-)
