ladies DJ's

Can someone explain the differences between the DJ and Date for women? I'm familiar with men's 34mm vs 36mm, etc., but I don't think I know the differences in women's versions.

There are non-date, 24mm Rolex and the mid-size at 31mm.

I think it is just the size. The Date is part of the Oyster Perpetual line and only comes in 34mm. Other sizes in the OP line are 36mm, 34mm(air king) 31mm and 26mm without date.

DJ has sizes 36mm, 31mm and 26mm

Think Rolex are now classing anything up to 36mm as a ladies size.

I bought my wife a 31mm DJ recently. Looks much more appropriate for a womens wrist than a women wearing a 36mm mans sized DJ

My wife has a small wrist and accordingly prefers the smallest size, which is I believe only available in the DJ.

I was looking for a 90's era woman's watch for a daughter. I gave my wife a 26mm DJ about 23 years ago, then, when I made a bad purchase of a DJ w/aftermarket-diamonds, I gave her that one on a croc strap, too. Now that I'm looking for another woman's Rolex, I noticed that there are Dates and DJ's that look to be about 26mm.

There are also no-date versions that seem to run about 24mm. Anyone know the difference between the Dates and DJ's for women? Is it just the age?

Just a note-- I went by the shop where I have my watches serviced (they sell a lot of pre-owned Rolex) and looked for a woman's watch. Almost everything was "jewelled up" and expensive. The shop guy showed me a really sharp looking AK with whitel dial and pink markers and said he could do much better pricewise on the AK than on the DJ's. The AK looked great but isn't what I wanted.
