Frostie, remember I stated that Bucherer of Berlin told me that the waiting list of the SS White Daytona is 7 years and that there is a 9-year waiting list on the Black Face Daytona SS?
Well, in that Bucherer "shop" I tried on EXACTLY that WG Daytona model you show pics of. And I agree: Is it ONE helluva a watch! Just the sheer WEIGHT of it is amazing! There is only ONE thing that would bother me just a bit about owning a WG Rolex - in general: Being WG I wouldn't really think of it as being "gold" due to its (superficial) resemblance to steel. But still: Awesome watch!

"The Value Of Anything Is How It Makes You Feel" wether it be the precious metal element or the marque, many fail to appreciate/ see the point of WG/platinium, then again many would fail to appreciate/ see the point of spending "how much !!!!" on a SS watch

Frostie if there is any way that you could come to the States and are serious about a deal. I could get you a deal on a Rolex that would almost make a trip here worth your time and money.
and it would give me great pleasure to see you happy and do it for you. |

Hi Frostie,
This really is a beautiful Rolex. This is the one that I'm saving up for. I might have to wait a couple of years though!! I called my friend at a local watch shop here in Kuwait and he has the white gold mother of pearl dial which works out at €17,000 (NEW) and a used white gold black dial (March 06) for €14,350. There may be a little movement in these prices. Good luck with your searches.... Craig |
