Is this a nice example of a 1655?

It's for $12,600

I'm no expert and I haven't checked the price range of the 1655 of this kind so I'm seeking you're expert advise. Watch looks pretty clean to me.

Thanks in advance!

Interesting.

It has the "Frog-Foot Coronet"
The 1655 is not my area of expertise but it looks to be in nice condition. I am not an enthusiast when it comes to the 1655, at least not to the point of over 8K. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

What is the serial range? This will help to determine if that dial is period correct etc.

I BELIEVE the range for that dial is 1972-78.

I would check the movement carefully. Given the condition of the hands, it looks like water may have gotten into the watch at some point during its life. If the hands matched the dial, it would be stunning.

Seller has brought down the price to $11,900. He assures that there hasn't been any part replaced. Is the corrosion in the orange and seconds hand evident of some sort of accident in the past? The dial and case looks very clean otherwise.

It could be original...sometimes lume on the hands ages differently then the lume on the dial.

Are the crown guards look a bit over polished?

Need clearer pics in general, and more detailed closeups from different angles. Something about it doesn't sit right with me, but I'm far from an expert.
