"Maxi Dial"?
I've seen this referred to, but never gotten clarity on the definition. Will you help me? How does it differ from earlier variations? Thanks in advance...

"Maxi Dial" is just an expression for BIGGER hour markers, minute and hour hands. It was (re-)introduced on the Sub Date LV "Anniversary" in 2003. And by "re-introduced" I mean that you could see the "Maxi Dial" on other Rolex watches like the Sub 1680 and GMT 1675. "MIKE" here on TRF will chime in with some awesome pics to tell you what I mean, I believe.

The Sub LV has the Maxi Dial: Larger Hour Markers and also a thicker Minute Hand. Thicker minute hand, mean more Luminous Material, thus easier to view in low/no light conditions.

What a coincidence!!! I would like to ask that question for a long time but forget it all the time.
Anyway, what does "Serti dial" mean? Thank you all. |
