Great pics Roger. How do you like the Razor? I heard that Verizon is coming out with them soon. Problem is from what I'm told, there isn't a leather case available for it. I need one seeing how it's too difficult to keep a phone in my pocket at work. If I didn't have one now my phone would be beat all to crap. ANother question, how is the keypad to work with? I have big fingers and can't do with a small keypad?

Hey Paul,

I have the Razr, as well (yes, JJ, that's is the correct spelling.) I also have decent sized hands. No prob with the keypad. However, I have had some software glitches and had to exchange my phone a couple times.

Could you elaborate on the software problems?

Is a software glitch the same as dropping it out of my SUV while exiting? If so my phone has had two of those software glitches.

Must be quite a fall seeing how you need a step ladder to get out of your SUV.

I had a pick up line in college perfected, it went something like..."hey baby it is not long, but it is skinny as hell"

Needless to say my wife was the one that initiated our first conversation and I no longer drink alcohol at all.

Uh, yes I could elaborate, and no, it's not dropping it out of an SUV

First phone-display on the inside of the phone (not the external one) began to display everything upside down.

Second phone- began having every call fail despite full strength signal, my other phone from the same carrier (I have a second as a business phone) showed no problems in the same places and the same times.

Third time- after 12 hours, the screen went black and phone would not turn on.

Fourth time- after 36 hours the display decided to go white and not show anything.

I must add, the third and fourth ones were refurbished phones that the warranty company assured me were all they could possibly due to assist me. After the Fourth phone I refused to hang up until I spoke the the person's boss's boss, and guess what? Lo and behold, it was suddenly possible to send me a new phone, even though I had been assured by two previous layers of people that this was absolutely impossible.

Sorry, I know you asked about the glitches, not the b!tches. I just wanted to vent.

A mere size 12 here. I guess I just don't measure up.

Thanks Jason. I'm glad you told me all this. I would like to hear all the pros and cons of something before I make the move. I don't know if Veerizon is coming out wit hit anyway, just what I've heard. I have to wait to the end of January anyway because I get a $100 rebate on any phone I buy. I also like the Motorola E815. Just starting to look now.
So knowing what you know now, would you buy another Razr?

Well, this is going to be a cop-out answer.

It depends.

If you think you'll drop it, EVER, the Razr wouldn't be my first choice.

If you want something thin and really comfortable to carry, so much so that you won't feel it in your pocket and nobody will ask if you're happy to see them based on its profile in your pants, the Razr really shines. It's not bad for small pics and ten second videos, either.

If you need something that can handle email--IMO--it's not the Razr. I text some on mine but it's just really not made to handle email and even the predictive text use gets tedious for anything over a sentence or two.

Hope this helps. Please ask any specifics you'd like to know.

All the best,

Jason

Thanks for the input fellow Sub owner. Here's my problem. I am outside all day every day. Keys in this pocket, knife and money in the other pocket. if I put in my shirt pocket it will fall out every time I bend over. No sarcasim required. I really need something that has a leather case and I don't think anyone makes one for it. I also text message quite a bit and from your opion it's no good at that.
It's just hearsay that Verizon is coming out with one, but it's good t ohear the good and bad about a product before you buy it. My last three phones have been Motorolas, first was a Star Tac,last one was a V60, ans this one is a V60S, I likethe brand. Never any seroius problems with either. My next choice would be an E815. Thanks for the info.
