my wife is usually clattering around in a field with Ponies / Livestock so buying her anything remotely decent would be a waste, she has a habit of annihilating most watches within a few months....given the choice she'd prefer a Rado or Baume & Mercier over a Rolex unless it was a seriously blinged out model

My mom's aunt used to be riding around the ranch with her Rolex on, from what I can tell of the condition of the watch I inherited from her. Nice sturdy-looking stainless model. Maybe a Rolex would be the one watch your wife doesn't annihilate ;)

My wife also supports my watch hobby but doesn't care for herself. She actually doesn't wear a watch at all!

No pictures of my wife with watches. She does not share that interest with me.

My wife doesn't really care what's on her wrist -- she usually wears a Skagen. But she does appreciate the finer jewels on her fingers. I told her when we got married that through the course of our marriage I would take care of all her fingers (I am halfway there). I now realize that it would have been cheaper for me if she was "into" fine watches!!!

Another way to look at it is, count yourself lucky that you don't have to do both.

I think I'm lucky because while she appreciates the watches for their cost, she definitely doesn't need them and would prefer jewelry as well which is fine by me. On my end, she also knows that I'm a pretty low key conservative guy. I like quality, but I'm not extravagant. My accessories tend to be under the radar. I'm not a gold or diamond watch type of guy. They're a little too flashy for me, and I've seen too many cheezy guys flashing around the gold and diamonds. Pretty happy with the way we support and trust each other's perspectives on luxury items.

My wife kind of decided she'd be the keeper of the 14060 I bought. I put a pink NATO on it and she loves it. Sadly, I dont get to wear it much anymore.

Hey Paul, that's actually our son looking on disapprovingly, but that is exactly my sentiment. He gets my GMT upon College Graduation, and I bought the Sub so my daughter could get one too when she graduates. Something for them to remember their dear old dad. But until she gets out of school, it's found a home on my wifes' wrist.

My wife is fairly petite. She complains that the 26mm TT DJ I bought her is too heavy. I tell her they don't make them any smaller. LOL.

Yepp, my wife wears a A-series (98/99) Sub 16610 she got for me as a wedding gift - it is only fair that she uses it! :-) Apart from that, she really doesn't care that much about watches.

Sorry, no photos, privacy and all that.

I believe right around 1.7, if I remember correctly.
