I live in the Isle of Bute in the west coast of Scotland and due to severe storms we have been without power for three days. as going stir crazy man - no TRF almost drove me to insanity.

Hey.....I hear ya.....I live in Hong Kong and my internet was down the last 2 1/2 days! Just got it back up with a visit from PCCW (the broadband company here in Hong Kong).....finally back up and going now.....

Glad your safe thats the main thing and when compared to mother nature yes we are weak.

I saw on the news about how strong the winds were. Down here in the eastern UK it was pretty intense as well. Large trees were uprooted and hanging across the roads all over. Thankfully we didn't lose TV or Internet.

While I was away on vacation, there was a pretty severe storm here in Finland at christmas time. About 100.000 households was without power. The worst places hit, didn't get the power back until after new years!!!

Glad to live in the city.

Glad you're alright Shieldsy. Get yourself a backup generator, and a few different types of internet, BT, cable and 3G, jus incase future problems. Then TRF 24/7.
