Wow! That is the first time I have seen an Explorer II with the engraving going around the chapter ring as well. It was done sooner than I thought.

Its an excellent looking watch! These pictures are reasons to why I decided to go with the Explorer II as well. Only I have mines with a white dial.

Asq,

Super watch - nice to see it is still going strong! The faded/paint-off bezel looks cool

Did Rolex really use paint for the Explorer II bezels? I don't think they did but Im not sure.

The faded bezel does look awesome though!

Thank you friends.. I don't have it since new, though. Well, talking about experience, in my wrist this Exp II has not had experience as much as my former DJ (see my first post here). The former Dj is as tough as the tool Rolex. I have been to most exotic (and dangerous too..) places in Indonesia such as Eastern parts of Indonesia like Ambon, Timor (borderline between Indonesia and east Timor), and Aceh as I did some reserach and evaluation works in emergency and disaster areas in Indonesia. Well, last year the DJ also travelled to beautiful places in other part of the world as well: Paris, Germany (Frankfurt, Kassel,Bonn, Koeln, Goettingen, Fulda etc), and Australia (Queensland). Somehow I miss my DJ.. but I'm pretty sure that my Exp II will have some experience on my wrist soon..
