this one finally arrived!!! (390)
had been waiting for it since hearing the news on sept 2011, from the forums here no less. got the piece end of december, had it handcarried to me by a friend just last friday.
this particular panerai model 390 totally blew me away, it's one of the most beautiful luminor 44mm base ever made, very unique tobacco brown color of the dial, different from most of the tobacco dials out there(is there anyone who knows other models that has same brown/tobacco color as the 390?). for me it's beauty ranks up there after those pre-V models.., and it's definitely special enough for a keeper! i can envision myself still owning the watch 10 20 years from now. another recent acquisition is the 372, hasn't got the chance to take photographs of it yet. for the meantime, thanks for reading.. here's the 390: |

I've really warmed up to the 390. Even thought about trying to get one. But I always go back to thinking I need a RAD in the collection to change it up a bit.

Congratulations. The watch and the strap are a real beauty and boo to Panerai for not making more.

thank you all for the comments and wishes.. for those who are looking for a 390, i wish you will get it soon. :D
the strap is made by gunny, i've put it on the 1st time i got my hand on the 390.. the oem strap that comes with it is very beautiful as well... it's called assolutamente strap if i remember correctly.. the caseback is solid with submarine pig engraved on it.., i will post some pics of the caseback once i get the chance.. along with the 372 which hasn't been photographed yet :) |
