Clasp Code Question on my DSSD

On my DSSD, stamped into the clasp is the number J4M. Reading about interpreting clasp codes, I can't decipher this. Does it mean or tell me anything about the bracelet? No big deal if it doesn't. Just wondering. Have been really enjoying the watch and this forum. Thanks.

It's the new random numbering on clasp , 3 digits randomly choosen.

It only means that your bracelet was produced since end of 2010, no more precision.

In about 20 years, it will be of no help to try dating you watch ....

Same principle apply to case s/n which is now randomly assigned to the watch (8 digits).

Only Rolex HQ could have the information on when this number was assigned.

My case is not a random serial number, but I see that my bracelet is. I was trying to figure out what was going on. This is helpful. Thank you.

Thanks for the additional data point and sanity check for me.

I remember on some other thread someone telling me to look at the bracelet number instead of the case number to get a better sense of manufacture date. I swear I kept looking at my bracelet number and then comparing to the tables online, and I could not for the life of me figure out how my bracelet was made decades ago.
I had no idea that they started randomizing the bracelet numbers as well. Again, this forum is a much appreciated wealth of knowledge.

As we are in a transition period, from a Rolex standpoint, we actually have in parallel Gxxxxxx & random case series, and CXnn & random clasp series. All 4 possible combinations have been seen.

At the end all will become random.

It means the clasp was stamped sometime between the latter part 2008 till present time.

With the watch on your left wrist, open the clasp. On the left clasp link you will see the Rolex logo. On the polished right clasp link is the stamp. It's tough to see though.
