Cost of a service
Took one of my Yachtmaster in to be serviced today, OMG £590, ($890 approx) bear in mind I took my blue faced yachtmaster for a service less than 12 months ago to the same place and the price was only £330 ($498}. Bit of an increase?? Whats your thoughts, fair? or am I being Spanked

spanked If you need no parts it seems as though $900 for service is excessive. Maybe try and find a reputable independant watchmaker.....

Fair and Rolex don't often collide in the same sentence. It is what is is unless you go to an independent.

I just spent $787.17 servicing my GMT at the RSC in Manhattan and it came back with a small nick that wasn't there when I took it in. Luckily I have this forum and I took photos of my watch to show it off when I got it and photos yesterday when it came back. The nick wasn't in the pre-serving photos, but is there in post. I live in Manhattan, I called RSC and they told me to bring photos and watch so they can have a look. I put the photos on a CD and seeing how it's digital I have time and dates of before and after. I'm sure everything will be okay and regardless of the nick, my watch looks beautiful! They did an amazing job.

I will be highly curious to see the resolution to their error. Please post results after RSC evaluates the situation. |
