My New Submariner
I bought a new ROLEX Submariner black dial with Date 3 weeks back.
I have a question about the perpetual date, Do I have to adjust it every month end depending on 30 days or 31 days per month ? If yes then why it is called perpetual ? Appeciate any feedback. |

Welcome to TRF.
Congrats. Yes you will need to adjust the date for non-31 day months. In this case Perpetual stands for automatic or self winding and not the date. Not to worry though, it's extremely easy to do. All you need to do is unscrew the crown and pull it out to the second position.

It's "Oyster Perpetual" Date and not Oyster "Perpetual Date". There are Oyster Perpetuals without date complication.

Congrats on the sub!
Changing the date is very easy, but you will have to do it yourself.

Welcome to TRF! Before you leave this thread, can you post a picture of your Sub with some interesting background?
