Man's best friend how the big bad wolf evolved into a favorite pet. Dogs have existed for about 100,000 years, but bulldogs, beagles, and most other common breeds are far younger that that.

I'd have to look again, but I'm pretty sure most breeds we know today only came into existence in the late 1800's, early 1900's. Kind of crazy to think about!
