Todays Fast Food.
when someone or something has a baby chances are about 50% boys and 50% girls. In the days of mass farming where you get sheds with 250,000 hens all laying eggs have you ever wondered exactly what happens to the little boy chicks.
Apparently process workers grab handfuls of chicks, about 5 at a time, and quickly check the sex of the chick. The little girls are then dispatched down one chute and little guys go down another to be gassed. Once gassed these little guys are potential food for all sorts of creatures including Raptors,Owls, and Snakes and can be bought for something like £3.50 / 50 frozen day old chicks. I'm concerned as to where all these chicks end up. do they get completely mashed up and in our food. Begs the question what are we doing with our own food cycle. If you had watched the documentary about McDonald's a few months ago you would have seen them all being gassed and fed to the adult chickens ready to make your Chicken McNuggets. Battery farmed chickens are a foul abomination...(not an amusing pun) for man and bird. Hormone stuffed creatures, standing in their own droppings. packed close in artificial daylight lit cages. When oven ready, upside down, Indian file, to the rotating guillotine which severs their necks. The birds are utterly shocked and full of toxic adrenalin when they die. Is this "food" fit for human consumption? Buy free range eggs and poultry...Much healthier, surely! This cruel poultry industry practise may maximise poultry industry profit, but what impact does it have on the incidence of human illness Customers might legitimately put this question to MacDonald's and Kentucky? Finger lickin' sh!te! Read "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser. It'll scare you to...not to death but,to nausea. You'll never eat at MacDonald's or Burger King again. As the book says "There's Rhubarb in the meat". I only now buy meat from my local butcher, or if I have to use a supermarket I try to stick to organic.
