Fake Explorer?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/330695978155...84.m1423.l2649

I am still learning, so I'd like to get your opinions. Fake or not? If fake, why?

Thanks for the lesson!

Being a newbie and reading this forum has made me really leery of "good deals" on EBay. Would be nice to know the year. Would also be nice to see some better pictures...

bmac: I can't tell with this resolution, but there does seem to be a pretty good ding on the case just past 4 o'clock. I personally would only consider wear "minor" if it can be polished out during servicing.

I'm not looking to buy this watch. I like to cruise the pics on eBay and compare them to images of watches being sold by trusted sellers on TRF. What got me on this particular watch is 1. The crown doesn't look right. The Rolex crown isnt very crisp and the twin lock symbol seems to be too close to the crown. 2. The white hash marks on the dial for the seconds seem to be thicker as well.

I could be way off base, but it's just what I have noticed in my comparisons.

Thanks for the responses guys!

Thanks for the heads up Mr. Bill. I totally forgot about the rules. I'll get my Avatar changed out.
