Fake breguet

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2307547331...84.m1438.l2649

Check this listing

The 2nd photo is a genuine Breguet. The 3rd photo is a fake.
I wonder which one you would get if you were the buyer

Hi Tim
I am new to all this and am looking at building a collection. I just joined the forum today. Coincidentally I saw the Breguet on ebay and was wondering why it was not getting any bids (I would love to buy a real Breguet Marine). Being a fake would be an obvious reason! For my education could you highlight how you spotted it was fake, I could not tell. best wishes

I would be more concerned that Wendy goes from selling low priced items such as cake candles to high ticket watches. Could be a hacked account, or I may just be suspicious.

In the 3rd photo the underside of the watch is the wrong shape. It is clearly not the same watch as the 2nd photo. it also has a leather strap, the watch in the 2nd photo has a rubber strap.

Java,

Sounds like you know your Breguet's. Not now but in the future I think this will be my next brand addition. I am guessing this one in Australia is also fake, the mechanism looks good but the price and add itself have all the hallmarks of suspicion. It has one bid, so could be a nasty shock or a potential bargain, I think the former.

I would say the watch in the photos is correct. But with zero feedback, I wouldn't consider buying it. It is very easy to obtain photos of the correct watch.
