3k GB pounds is a bit too much for a 9 year old sub that has not been serviced.

Try and haggle abit offer him 2,500 pounds, see what he says (that is if you indeed decide to go used)

OK so having sold my house and having to move back in with the parents for time being buying new is fast becoming my preffered option!! 12 months 0% finance could just possibly be too hard to turn down!!

have bought both new and used, and quite honestly a used watch just comes down to condition.with a service it sounds like the used one will be back to new specs.i like the idea of knowing i can get my money back if i am going to trade or sell.if you are only going to own one watch buy the one you like.

I'd buy new.

I really like the upgrades on the new SubC.
If you get the older one I would have it serviced so you know everything is on the up and up.

The current Submariner C is Too Fat for my taste.
I want some of whatever you've been taking..... Rolex runs productions 10+ years and the sub was just updated.

OP buy the new watch.

If you are looking at the watch as an investment, as long as you don't overpay, you can't go wrong with an older Sub.

If you could afford to take a hit financially, go new.

Newbie post.

I'm looking for a birth year watch, which makes it well over 9 years old!

A non-abused 1601 DJ from the early 70's should be good for a few more years if serviced?
