1680 Submariner purchased new in 1974 for about $550. Loses less than 2 sec. a day. Wear a 116610LN mostly these days, but it is still my favorite and the most comfortable.

My first was lost in surf...then 30 years later....

My father gave me a 1680 when i was 16 that he won yacht racing back in 1980 identical to this photo (thanks MichaelM) but lost it while surfing when the band broke and off she sank never to be seen again....then 30 years later i finally won my own through yacht racing at the same location (St Thomas). It was worth the wait! I dont need another Rolex as this is the only one ive ever wanted plus its the coolest sporting trophy i get to wear everyday!
