Who cares what anyone else thinks . . . keep the watch you love and wear it already. A Bluesy go's with any attire. I wear mine everyday no matter how I'm dressed. I would never even consider giving mine up.

I used to have the same problem. I too work in Sales (recruitment to be more specific). I used to wear TT sub blue ceramic to client meetings but I felt it was giving the wrong impression and a little too flashy. Noticed client staring at the watch which I was a little uncomfortable with. Ended up buying a GMTIIc last month to get over this.

I don't think your crazy. You should wear whatever you are comfortable wearing. If for some reason you don't feel comfortable, then get something you feel more comfortable wearing or decide it doesn't matter what they think.

I also own a watch just like yours and have worn it virtually every day since February 1997. For me it is my favorite timepiece and I personally don't care what any person says about it IF they happen to recognize it. I have worn it in a variety of different jobs including sales, and intend on wearing it until my last day above ground. Keep yours, and if you have to purchase a Timex or equivalent watch to wear on your job. You will certainly regret parting with such a classic and handsome timepiece!

I need a luxury watch, that's why I purchased this Rolex. I just GENUINELY didn't know it was going to get as much attention as is it getting. I am by no means overly conscious about it, but it is evident....most of the time I am standing giving out a powerpoint presentation or sitting by a conference table ...they just stare.

At the same time I don't want to wear a Casio or Timex and have these business owners think "he can't event afford a $500 watch and wants to help me grow my business". But then, I don't want to be the guy that wants to appear what I am not by wearing "a super flashy watch".

AGAIN, CALL ME CRAZY....I guess some of you would understand.
First post you're worried about it being flashy and maybe you should sell it, now you switch gears and say you "need" a flashy watch???!!!!??????

If you are helping them grow their business, you most certainly want to "appear" to have gained a (perceived or real) level of success. Unless you are a name brand consultant and your reputation speaks for itself.
