1. Is the Date Rolex a ladies watch

and

2. Is this watch too small for a man's wrist

Thanks everyone for their comments!
Its a watch and anyone with a wrist no matter male or female can wear it,and going back to the early 1940s average mens wrist watch then was 30mm.And even in those bygone years there was still quite a few large men around with big wrists.

The Date is a man's watch, I'd happily wear one, but I have a 6.5" wrist. The difference between a date and a DJ is negligible. How about a wrist shot?

Tell your mate James bond wears a Rolex Date in the new book Carte Blanche.

Ha ha Carl and Craig.
Can't recall where I lifted that pic.

Wish the OP would put up a wrist shot as asked. Just for grins.

34mm is a little on the small side IMHO. For me I prefer 40mm and larger. I wouldn't worry about what anyone else thinks and wear the one you prefer.

I have finally come to the conclusion, it really depends on your wrist size. Bigger wrist, bigger watch, smaller wrists, smaller watch. Just my opinion of course.

I have 8" wrists and I have tried smaller watches but I feel they don't look right on me which is sad because I think the 36mm Explorer I is one of the best designs ever. On the other hand, I have seen small wristed guys wearing large watches that I think look ridiculous. Thus why I have come to the conclusion it depends on wrist size whether a certain size looks right on someone.

Sounds tome like you were doing just fine with it until your friend said something about it.

It all just depends what you are comfortable with just like anything else..

There is no right or wrong answer as it's a matter of personal choice and preference. As long as you are happy...that's all that matters!!!

I have a 34 mm TT Date from 1982 my first Rolex. I also have an 1965 Omega Geneve which is 34 mm and a 1965 Omega Deville which is ultra thin and 31mm. The biggest watch I own is my 36mm Datejust. Dont worry about what others say, they just want what you have.

Here are me small watches.
