My senility and my Rolex

Another post just got me thinking.

Some could not contemplate owning a Sub ND or Daytona due to the lack of date function.

For me it is not so much of an issue. Once I am fully awake and are aware of the current date it remains registered in my brain for the rest of the day, sorted.

I check the time periodically, of course, but the date, nope.

What about you lot?

I'm actually thinking of getting a Sub ND. I want something to put on a Nato strap. I can do without a date as I probably wear it on days off. Besides I have my blackberry for the date if I need to check.

Date is an absolute must.

Expect I will need to obtain a President when I retire because when I'm not working I tend to lose track of the day, too!

I have plenty of other devices around (computers, cell, blackberry, CALENDAR) so I could do without. But habit makes me look anyways. So, I voted date, but could lose the cyclops.

The date function is a must for me so my mind won't go blank when leaving the time/ date in a voicemail.

Senility must be a big issue with a lot of people, at least regarding the day of the month. More people have indicated that they require their watch to remind them of what date it is than not. Hmmmmm...

Having a date is a pain as when I rotate watches it means I have to reset - my non-date watches are easier to rotate -in fact I'm rotating three at present and they are all non-dated (only one of them Rolex - the rest of the Rolexs - all which have dates - are in a box somewhere ..... if only I could remember where)

If the date is the issue, this just might be the answer.

I actually use the date function. And having the cyclops just makes it that much easier to see the date.

Having a winder would solve your problem. All my autos have at least the date function, so it's a necessity that I keep mine on winders.

I can do without the date function especially the cyclops, but the silly thing is as I know the date is on the watch I still always check even though I know the date and sometimes a few seconds after I last checked.
Luckily I am still a few years short of needing a Day Date though.

I must say though I would love to have the need for a Day Date as it would hopefully mean I was so wealthy I was on holiday/vacation all the time and just forgot what day of the week it was as it didn't really matter
