Nice watch, dial color looks awesome on that light.

It’s about the only piece that is wearable with stones for a male IMO.

To be honest i can only wear it on like 5 occasions in the year… in saying that I feel the 5271p in sapphire is totally wearable too. Pity they’re impossible to get.

The first series of the first in house Patek QP/Chrono. Always good to ring in a new year with a future classic.

Happy new year to you as well!

Absolutely stunning watch. May I ask what reference this is? When I think of Patek, this is what I think of. The complications, the dial layout, the lugs.. all stunning. I’m sure the movement ain’t half bad to look at either!

Very kind words, thank you. Sure it is the first series of the 5270. Specifically, 5270g-001

The lugs are a big draw for me. Excessively flared. I think it’s an interesting venture into modernising the PCC, although I do prefer the railroad tracks on the sub dials of the latest 5270p. Both Pt versions are virtually perfect, but i love this piece for many reasons.

Thank you. I love when watches have little touches of character that make them tastefully more interesting, such as the lugs on your 5270g-001. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! I also like this combo a lot, goes to show grand comps don’t need to be “serious” all the time.

Thank you!

It’s a Turquoise Chevre strap from Delugs. They have some great straps.
