Submariner 5513 - 17 Jewels? Worth buying?

Hello,

as I do not have a lot of experience in submariner pre 1990 I would like your opinion about this ebay offer:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1507767588...84.m1423.l2649

"The 17 jewelled movement was for American import only, during this period in America watches were taxed depending on the amount of jewels they had. As you know these watches usually have 26 jewels. Most watches are converted to 26 jewels, this movement is still original from new."

If I wanted to buy a 5513, should I make sure I get my hands on a 26 Jeweles?

Thank you guys!

I donīt think the number of jewels makes too much of a difference, what the seller writes is true.
I would be more concened about the bezel insert and pearl, also the case looks over polished.

Itīs cool that it has the rivet bracelet and matching caseback though.

It looks like something has now made the dial its home. That watch is a mess, I'd pass.
