Can a modern Tudor last as a daily watch

Well I have a new to me hydronaut II on the original rubber strap. Would it be safe to say that this watch with proper servicing would last as daily watch? I do not wear it while doing "manual labor" stuff such as lawn mowing and continuous lifting. I know the brand has a proven track record but I have read that post 1990 Tudors are not made with the tough as nails Rolex parts(case and such).

Short answer.......Yes, it will last.

Unless I'm mistaken the difference in Tudor and Rolex is not the case but the movement ? So your watch should be just as strong as a Rolex. I see no reason why it wouldn't last as long. The movement is another story.

Addition to Dan's short answer. It's unfortunate folks see the Tudor name and associate it with an inferior timepiece. I will confirm that their Heritage models are produced with the same Rolex quality in mind. The THC is one heavy timepiece (I am not associating weight with quality just providing you an idea) and very well constructed!

Although not a Rolex Aeglar made movement, but one from ETA a top range chronometer grade movement.There is no reason why it should not last the same as any Rolex movement as long as its been serviced.And up to around 1990 even the oyster cases plus all parts except the movement were exactly the same as any Rolex.

I do not see it as a inferior or cheap watch. I do understand that the are not made as the vintage peices were, actual rolex cases(inter-changeable I believe). There is nothing in the Rolex line that my hydronaut could borrow from. I guess I get wrapped up in the "nothing is made like it used to be" mindset.

I hear you, my comment on the inferior thought process some folks have on the Tudor brand was more a generalization from what I read and hear folks say. The Tudor you purchased is a workhorse and will last a lifetime with proper care! Enjoy!
