Wow - that's some patience. You know he's also working on a SM300. Given he's not done with the Kingston's, and not started the SM300, this one could well be 5 years+.

While I would love one.... I just couldn't wait that long... Honestly I am quiet surprised he started this project with kingstons still needed to be delivered. I don't see these shipped by 2014 due to the sm300 project.

You are right about the waiting. My Kingston is nearly done but it has been almost three years since I ordered it. I waited 18 months for my LRRP prior to that.

I understand that most people don't have the patience, but I feel any amount of waiting is worth it for his watches.

This watch should be faster than most of his watches. The case, bracelet, and bezel assembly are all carryover and the supplier has a good handle on making them. The crown and tube will be new, as will the bezel insert, dial, and date wheel.

Dude... I envy your patience and you will be greatly rewarded in the end. This will probably be a mkii project I will likely regret not being a part of, like the quad 10.

If Bill decides to do the optional bezel AND silver datewheel (omg what if its open 6 and 9s!) I see this being possibly the best plank order to date.

Can't wait to see the finished product!

I would go white dial by the way. ;)

Mkii

Bill is a great guy and makes nice stuff for the money but I am pretty much done with the whole pre-order thing. Done with Kobold too but for a different reason.....excessive prices et.al

Yeah, I was actually the one who enlightened him about silver datewheels. I have been pushing for an open, silver, roulette wheel, but he is reluctant to make something that closely resembles an original wheel. He isn't quite sure if silver can be done easily enough, but just the fact that he is investigating it is great. I am guessing it will be white roulette with modern fonts.

Either or. If he goes silver it HAS to have that brushed look.

Here's my 1675 date wheel. Way too cool.

Yup, Bill knows that. He described it as a sunburst pattern of brushing and I agree. My Red Sub's silver dial looks this way - the brushing seems to converge ever so slightly along the radius.

1000% agree, the only way I would buy another MKII is a re-sale from someone who had to do the waiting. I can't do more e-mailing only to be ignored. Then being updated that your shipdate has been moved back six months.

I too like Bill, a lot, and he does make quality stuff, but I can't do business that way. Too many other watches out there to be held hostage.

You should be fine, I think the bulk of the production is being sold later.
