Newbie looking for info on GMT on Ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/290694314149...84.m1423.l2649

Hi all, I am in the Uk and have been browsing your forum for about 2 hours and came to the conclusion that this is THE place to discuss all things ticking, great job. The reason for looking through the forum is that I am looking to buy my first GMT and have seen this one on Ebay being sold by a company with 5 or 6 locations in the UK. I know that that the photos are not great but is there anything obvious that should cause concern? I will go and see the watch before I decide how to proceed so any advise to a newbie would be appreciated.

Great forum, thanks.

Welcome to TRF!

Too little info on the watch to say with certainty.
Odd that seller has all private feedback so you can't see items he's sold.
Maybe keep looking for a better seller - perhaps here on TRF.

The watch appears genuine. The price is very high. You should be able to find one from $4000 to $4500.

Thanks Springer, I am looking at one in the morning from The Swiss Watch Company outside London. I have searched the forum and nobody has a bad word to say about them, in fact the opposite they are highly recommended.

Hi'
I'm in UK and I bought a 2006 red and black GMT from a local guy for £3.5k, but it had just had a full Rolex service that amounted to £500 and has the 1 year Rolex service warranty, it's also mint. I probably paid about the right amount because of the service.

I can't say if it's real or not, but that price does seem to be up there a bit for a watch that's still readily available.
